The Royal Northern Countryside Initiative - RNCI - was set up in 1997 and is a joint project between:

  • The Royal Northern Agricultural Society (RNAS)
  • The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) and supported by
  • Aberdeen Environmental Education Centre

Our aim is:
"To help children and their teachers in the North-East of Scotland develop a greater understanding of farming and the working countryside."

There is now a network of similar countryside initiatives being developed nationally under the auspices of the Royal Highland Education Trust.

RNCI covers Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.
